The enactment of Republic Act 11786 paves the way to the establishment of Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Leyte Campus at Brgy. Calaguise, Municipality of Leyte, Province of Leyte.<\/p>\n

PUP Leyte campus officially opens its doors on 5 September 2025 and offers four undergraduate degrees. These degrees are: 1) Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA); 2) BS in Business Administration (BSBA) major in Marketing Management; 3) BS Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) and 4) BS in Information Technology (BSIT).<\/p>\n

The establishment of PUP Leyte Campus provides the higher education opportunities to the students of the  third district of Leyte which comprises the municipalities of Leyte,  Calubian, Tabango, San Isidro and Villaba and its nearby areas including the Province of Biliran.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony of PUP Leyte Campus was attended by Former Third  Congressman Vicente Veloso III  who was instrumental in the enactment of RA 11786, Atty. Pascualito B. Gatan, PUP Vice President for Campuses and other local elected officials of the district and the province of Leyte.<\/p>\n
