The KULTURA D’ BALAUG <\/strong> of Catbalogan, Samar won the first place during the Kuratsa Competition 2025 held last September 30, 2025 at the Samar Convention Center, Catbalogan, Samar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cash prize of thirty thousand pesos was awarded to \ud835\udc0a\ud835\udc14\ud835\udc0b\ud835\udc13\ud835\udc14\ud835\udc11\ud835\udc00 \ud835\udc03\u2019 \ud835\udc01\ud835\udc00\ud835\udc0b\ud835\udc00\ud835\udc14\ud835\udc06.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 50 online entries to the Top 10 live finalists, the stage was set for the Kuratsa Grand Finale on 30 September 2025 thereby closing the Creative Industries Month Celebration of the Province of Samar with rhythm, color, and pride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kuratsa is a traditional Filipino folk dance that is popular in the Eastern Visayas region, particularly in the islands of Leyte, Samar and Biliran. It is an integral <\/a>part of the region\u2019s cultural heritage and is often performed during fiestas, weddings, and other community celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
