Baybay City, Leyte — Excitement continues to build as Baybay City prepares to host the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet 2026, set from March 1 to 7, 2026. Thousands of athletes, coaches, officials, and delegates from across Eastern Visayas are expected to converge in the city for the region’s biggest annual sporting event.

At the center of the preparations is the New Binaybayon Sports Complex, a major component of the 10.5-hectare Binaybayon Complex, envisioned as Baybay City’s premier hub for sports, conventions, and large-scale events. The integrated complex is composed of two key facilities—the Sports Complex and the Binaybayon Convention Center—both designed to support regional and national-level activities.

The New Binaybayon Sports Complex boasts modern, athlete-centered facilities, including a main stadium with an Olympic-size rubberized track oval, a football field, and two-sided grandstand bleachers inspired by the Roman Colosseum. An Olympic-size swimming pool is also part of the complex and will serve as a major competition and training venue during the EVRAA Meet.

Adjacent to the sports facilities is the Binaybayon Convention Center, featuring a 7,589-square-meter convention hall capable of hosting opening and closing ceremonies, assemblies, and other large gatherings related to the games.

With world-class facilities in place and final preparations underway, Baybay City is poised to deliver a memorable and well-organized EVRAA Meet 2026—celebrating athletic excellence, regional unity, and the city’s growing role as a key events destination in Eastern Visayas.
