Newly appointed Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief, Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, convened the division chiefs of the LTO Central Office after his oathtaking ceremony at the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Asec. Lacanilao presented seven key priority programs that will guide the agency’s efforts to enhance transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency. These are:
- Strict implementation of a “Zero Corruption” and “Non-Appearance” Policy;
- Upholding the principle “Totoong Serbisyo, ‘Wag Negosyo”;
- Eliminating unnecessary processes that cause delays;
- Removing unwarranted expenses to ease the financial burden on the public;
- Full digitalization of LTO systems and integration with other government agencies;
- “Walang Areglo” policy, ensuring strict enforcement of non-settlement rules; and
- Mainstreaming road safety measures across all relevant sectors.
Asec. Lacanilao urged all division heads to uphold integrity and professionalism in carrying out their duties, emphasizing teamwork and adherence to public service ethics.
The meeting focused on setting the immediate priorities and operational direction of the agency under his leadership — marking the start of an administration committed to unity, accountability, and efficient public service.
