The Department of Interior and Local Government, Regional Office 8 (DILG-8) holds the “Infrastructure Governance for Eastern Visayas: Advancing Local Development Through Strategic and Sustainable Infrastructure Governance” activity this October 13-14, 2025 at The Tropics at MacArthur Park, Palo.

The activity aims to deepen newly-elected officials’ understanding of local governments’ roles in planning and managing infrastructure projects, enhance their knowledge of infrastructure services for better governance and service delivery, familiarize them with financing opportunities and procedures, and promote accountability and transparency throughout project implementation and monitoring.

During the activity, both DILG 8 and the Office of Project Development Services (OPDS) affirmed their commitment to provide technical assistance and support for LGUs’ infrastructure goals and ensuring investments translate into durable, service-oriented outcomes for communities.
