Leyte Governor Carlos Jericho “Icot” Petilla has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Regional Development Council (RDC) – Eastern Visayas, serving until 2028. His appointment, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on October 16, 2025, marks his return to the RDC, where he previously served as Chair before becoming Energy Secretary in 2012.
