TACLOBAN CITY — The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region VIII has unveiled its official Calendar of Activities for Cooperative Month 2026, highlighting a month-long celebration of cooperation, community engagement, learning, environmental stewardship and excellence in the cooperative sector.
With the theme of celebrating the cooperative movement and its contributions to communities and regional development, CDA Region VIII has prepared a series of activities designed to encourage cooperatives and their members to participate, learn, collaborate and showcase their achievements.
Among the activities lined up for Cooperative Month 2026 are the following:
CDA Cooperative Quiz Bee — A learning and knowledge-building activity that will test participants’ understanding of cooperatives, their principles, practices and contributions to socio-economic development.
Electronic Cooperative Clinique (3rd Quarter ECOOPCLIP) — An electronic platform designed to provide guidance and assistance on cooperative concerns, helping cooperatives address operational, governance and other technical matters.
ONE REGION, ONE GREEN ACTION — A simultaneous environmental activity to be conducted across Eastern Visayas, encouraging cooperatives and their communities to take collective action in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices.
Adlaw han Pagkilala 2026 — A recognition event that will honour outstanding cooperatives and individuals for their accomplishments and contributions to the cooperative movement.
As part of the recognition activities, CDA Region VIII is also calling for nominations for the Green Cooperative Excellence Award and the Operational Excellence Award, which seek to highlight cooperatives demonstrating exemplary environmental initiatives and outstanding operational performance.
The celebration provides opportunities for cooperatives throughout Eastern Visayas to strengthen their networks, share best practices and demonstrate how cooperation can contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
CDA Region VIII is encouraging cooperatives, members, partners, stakeholders and the general public to take part in the various activities scheduled throughout the month.
“Whether you are here to participate, showcase your cooperative, or celebrate the cooperative movement, there is a place for you this Cooperative Month,” the CDA Region VIII said.
The agency invites everyone to join, participate and celebrate cooperation as Eastern Visayas honours the continuing contributions of cooperatives to communities and regional development.
Cooperative Month 2026 is more than a celebration—it is an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of cooperation and reaffirm the collective commitment to building resilient, inclusive and sustainable communities.
