SEC Tacloban Extension Office Opens New Office in Marasbaras

TACLOBAN CITY — The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Tacloban Extension Office has officially transferred to its new office premises at the 2nd Floor, A-1 Milling Building, Barangay 82, Marasbaras, Tacloban City, where it accommodated SEC services and client transactions beginning Thursday, October 1, 2026.

The new office was formally inaugurated on September 29, 2026, marking another step in bringing the SEC’s services closer to corporations, organisations, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in Tacloban City and nearby areas.

The inauguration was attended by Hon. Randy Esperas, who represented Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez. Also present were Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VIII (CHEDRO VIII) Regional Director Dr. Maximo Aljibe; Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII (DSWD FO VIII) Regional Director Dr. Grace Subong; Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Tacloban Vice President for External Affairs Atty. Kenneth B. Fabila; Tacloban Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Atty. Julie Sevilla; and representatives from the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DepDev) and the Commission on Audit (COA).

The new extension office is expected to make SEC services more accessible to the public by providing a more convenient location for corporations, organisations and other stakeholders who need to transact with the Commission.

With the transfer, clients can access SEC services and conduct transactions closer to their place of business or residence, helping facilitate more efficient processing of corporate and other SEC-related concerns.

The transfer of the Tacloban Extension Office underscores the SEC’s continuing efforts to improve accessibility, enhance service delivery and respond more effectively to the needs of its stakeholders in Tacloban City and neighbouring Eastern Visayas communities.
